Everyone should be working their way through the math book topic tests. I will begin to post answer keys so you can check your work (once I know people have completed the first 5 chapters, at least).
Continue to work through the packets too! I will also post answers to Orange vocabulary work in the coming weeks. You should have completed Unit 10 and 11 in the Orange workbook.

HOME LEARNING LESSON PLAN:
Vocabulary: Orange Vocabulary Workshop Book
-Begin at Unit 10 (where we left off in class)
-Read the Unit Opener Story, then complete the activity pages throughout the week.
-Extra: Write a story using the words, write a play/skit (we can perform when we get back!) illustrate/draw pictures for each work, write your own sentences.
*Suggested plan: 1 unit per week.
English/Grammar: Grammar Packet:
-Continue to work through the packet. I know it is long! This should be a review. These pages each explain the skill, and give examples of what to do. Stuck? Read it over a few times.
-Remember to write neatly and do your best work.
*Suggested plan: 2-3 pages per day.
Math: Envision Math Textbook
-Complete each Topic Test at the end of each chapter. (Chapter 1-16)
-Stuck? Need extra help? Complete the Reteaching pages in each section- they “reteach” the lessons! Look back in the chapter for the lessons you are struggling with.
*Suggested plan: 3-5 topics per week.
-Complete math review packet and extra math pages sent home
*Extra: Begin the new math lessons in Topic 17 (One of my favorite chapters!) Read the top of each lesson- the book explains what to do and gives you examples. Try to complete these on your own. Don’t worry if it is too hard- we will go over it when we return to school. Skip to the next lesson and do what you can!
Reading:
-Read at home everyday for at least 30 minutes.
-You may read or listen to articles and stories online (Look on the class website for links)
- Complete Reading Packet
-Extra: Read out loud to your siblings or family members. Keep a reading log of what you are reading each day, and for how long. Include thoughts and feelings you have and any interesting things you have learned.
*Complete Book Report *Use the book you are reading over this time at home. If you'd like to pick a new book, or reread another story, that's OK. Make sure you fill in all the information on the form. (At the end of this page.)
Extra: **Writing: Use the Creative Writing Prompts!
Keep a journal during this time. Think of it like “Weekend News.” Try to write at least 3x a week, at least one paragraph. (Any paper you use is OK.)
